My name is Jimmie and I am a fine art photographer.
After having a tremendous amount of loss in my adult life and becoming a foster mother, I found myself looking for a creative outlet. I have always loved taking pictures, but the first time I saw conceptual fine art images, I felt so connected. I hope you will find images here that help you grieve and heal. I can’t wait to connect and hear your story!
ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a fine art photographer with a focus in surrealism, still life, and self-portraiture. I use photoshop to create images to process grief, joy, pain, and display the overall human experience. I layer and composite images to create textured and painterly photos. I have always wanted a creative outlet to process life’s ups, downs, challenges, and victories. Photography allows me to express the major grief and loss I have experienced in my adult life while also sending the message that joy and pain can co-exist.
